Job Summary

The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a Papa Murphy's store, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of store staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor and maintain store appearance, including cleanliness and organization.
  • Manage store inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies.
  • Process transactions and handle customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and increase sales.
  • Collaborate with the store manager to achieve business objectives and goals.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including counting cash and balancing the register.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including sales data and employee performance.
  • Train and develop store staff, including new hires and existing employees.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least six months of experience in a retail or food service environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

Working Conditions

  • Regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to bend and stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • Must be able to perform cleaning duties such as wiping tables and equipment, sweeping and mopping.
