Job Title: Operations Manager for Aquatic Programs

Reports to: General Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary: Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Goldfish Swim School, ensuring excellence in staffing, pool management, financial transactions, customer service, retail operations, event hosting, and employee engagement activities.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations to align with Goldfish Swim School's standard procedures.
  • Support the General Manager and department heads in completing daily tasks.
  • Lead the team to promote high productivity, outstanding performance, and positive employee morale.
  • Train and supervise the aquatics team to deliver exceptional swim instruction.
  • Provide sales and marketing training to qualified staff members.
  • Guide retail and vending operations to ensure a balanced product mix and pricing strategy.
  • Oversee private event staff to maintain adherence to operational standards.
  • Develop proficiency in the Links software for scheduling, reporting, and administrative tasks.
  • Acquire knowledge in pool operations to ensure a safe and clean swimming environment.
  • Initiate and manage employee engagement activities to enhance workplace satisfaction.
  • Implement and oversee safety protocols and emergency procedures, training staff accordingly.
  • Maintain relevant certifications and stay updated in the fields of aquatics and management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the employer.
Education/Experience: A high school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports coach, camp counselor, or childcare provider is essential. A minimum of two years in a management role is preferred, along with experience as a swimming instructor.

Certificates and Licenses: Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications are mandatory. Shallow water attendant certification is highly recommended.

Work Environment: This role involves regular exposure to heat and humidity, with a moderate noise level.
