The position involves active participation throughout the requirements and development lifecycle, with a commitment to refining processes, products, and strategic roadmaps. Additionally, the role encompasses User Experience design and validation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and document comprehensive manual test cases.
  • Design regression and smoke testing scripts, including UX/accessibility assessments.
  • Perform manual testing, evaluate requirements, and document detailed defect reports.
  • Conduct Functional UI Testing (black box), Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, and Exploratory Testing.
  • Execute basic data validation using SQL.
  • Validate API payloads, including headers and payload structures.
  • Participate in requirements discussions and project planning sessions.
  • Ensure that the final product meets or surpasses user expectations.
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Identify potential automation opportunities within the test plan.
  • Possess some automation skills, including recording and basic scripting.
Required Competencies
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to produce quality documentation.
  • Effective communication skills with both IT and business teams.
  • Solid understanding of business processes.
  • Proactive approach to identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Basic understanding of relational database concepts.
  • Ability to write simple T-SQL queries (select, from, where, joins).
  • Knowledge of native web capabilities.
Expectations
  • Provide regular updates on current projects and statuses to the team.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision on assigned tasks.
  • See projects and assignments through from initiation to completion.
  • Proactively address challenges and remove obstacles.
  • Collaborate effectively with other engineering team members and business stakeholders.

Position Type and Work Hours

This is a full-time, exempt position. Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary based on job responsibilities. Travel is not a requirement.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of four years of progressive experience as a QA Tester or Analyst.
  • Experience serving as the primary QA for multiple small to medium-sized projects.
