Personnel Supervisor

This is a unique position that is critical to our core tenet of growing and developing our team. The Personnel Supervisor supports all areas of our operation, especially our production supervision team, by having great conversations that uplift our staff while holding them accountable to our high standards.

This is an ACTIVE position with 90% of time being on the plant floor (standing, walking, climbing stairs). This is not an office position.

We are looking for a highly skilled Personnel Supervisor to help us grow our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in plant production operations, supervision, employee development, and progressive discipline, including dismissal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plant Floor presence and first point of contact for employees on-boarding and HR related questions
  • Integral part of employee orientation and on-boarding. Conducts routine check-ins with all new employees.
  • Champion of our company Culture of Respect.
  • Celebrates employees with various rewards, group events, and team building events.
  • Meets with employees to discuss career path and personal leadership journey.
  • Conducts employee review and bonus discussions.
  • Coaches' employees on plant floor operations, procedures, and techniques
  • Reviews employee files for progressive disciplinary actions. Conducts disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Conducts employee dismissal conversations in a respectful, compassionate manner
  • Ensures Employee Safety through PPE audits, plant floor safety audits, training, and conducts injury investigations
  • First Responder for employee injuries, building security, building evacuation. Ensures injured employees receive any necessary outside assistance.
  • Ensures building security through routine building and premises checks. Coordinates with outside services to address any issues. Conducts internal investigations through eye witness interviews, reviewing security camera footage, etc.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of supervision in a Production or Manufacturing Environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Able to stand for entire shift on plant floor, climb stairs and work in refrigerated environments
  • English-Spanish bilingual preferred
