Job Title: Diesel Technician

Job Summary:

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and diesel engines.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and diagnostic repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, including AC, electrical systems, and advanced skilled level repairs.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete repair orders and meet customer satisfaction goals.
  • Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates.
  • Coordinate work schedules and prioritize workload to meet customer needs.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Three years or more relevant work experience preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
  • Non-commercial driver license Class E preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment.
