We are seeking a skilled CNC Programming Specialist to enhance our production capabilities. In this role, you will be tasked with creating detailed process flows and programming for CNC machining, ensuring optimal part costs while adhering to quality and scheduling requirements. Your expertise will be crucial in selecting and documenting the appropriate tooling packages, as well as providing technical support to CNC Operators regarding effective machining processes.
Available Shifts: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday
Key Qualifications:
- A 2-year Technical Degree or Trade school certification in CNC Programming with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of CNC programming experience.
Essential Skills:
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality, ensuring high accuracy.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed processes and programs for CNC machining, focusing on cost efficiency and quality.
- Select the most suitable machine tools and tooling packages for each part.
- Assist with machine start-up for new or revised programs as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of current programming languages and hardware/software systems in the industry.
- Document a standard tool library for similar operations and establish an index of standard machining moves.
- Coordinate maintenance on programming hardware and track associated costs.
- Maximize production machine utilization and participate in design change reviews to improve CNC machining.
- Analyze scrap to identify corrective actions, including reprogramming as necessary.
- Develop design and drafting standards to enhance CNC capabilities, including CAD-CAM interfaces.
- Complete assigned tasks and projects as directed by management.
