Job Title: EHS Specialist

Job Summary:

The EHS Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing EHS programs and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This includes environmental compliance, hazardous waste management, and creating an injury-free work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement EHS programs and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Lead the implementation and management of site-wide EHS programs, including training, incident investigation, auditing, and performance evaluation.
  • Assist in delivering EHS trainings related to compliance, including New Hire Orientation.
  • Take proactive action to implement immediate and effective corrective actions to eliminate safety hazards.
  • Support the design review of new projects and modifications to existing processes and facilities to identify and resolve EHS issues.
  • Prepare EHS metrics reports that track the facility's EHS performance.
  • Interact with upper management to direct and implement effective policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in occupational safety, occupational health, engineering, environmental science, or other EHS-related technical discipline from an accredited college/university.
  • Minimum three (3) years of EHS program development, implementation, and leadership experience with a focus on industrial facility manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Safety laws, regulations, codes, and best management practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships quickly and effectively at all levels throughout the company.
