Position:

Housekeeping Attendant


The Housekeeping Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of guest corridors, housekeeping areas, service elevator landings, and other designated spaces.

This position involves transporting linens to and from storage areas and delivering various items to guest accommodations as required.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly and service-oriented manner, maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Foster a supportive and positive work atmosphere by addressing and resolving conflicts calmly and professionally.
  • Adhere to regular attendance as per the schedule, which may vary based on the property's needs.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the appropriate uniform and nametag while on duty.
  • Conduct regular walks of assigned floors at the start and end of shifts, removing any newspapers, trash, trays, or linens, and noting areas requiring immediate attention.
  • Assist with housekeeping requests and ensure they are completed with appropriate follow-up and communication.
  • Help maintain an adequate supply of linens and other necessary materials.
  • Be knowledgeable about proper guest room cleaning procedures to assist with cleaning tasks when necessary.
  • Manage items designated for 'Lost and Found' in accordance with company policies.
  • Report maintenance needs to the appropriate department promptly.
  • Demonstrate initiative in job performance by anticipating the needs of both guests and team members.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, reporting any safety concerns to management immediately.
  • Operate and drive shuttle services as required by the property.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in housekeeping within the hospitality sector is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions provided in written, oral, or scheduled formats.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English to effectively communicate with guests and team members.
  • Capable of performing basic mathematical calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Team-oriented mindset is necessary.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required (as applicable).
