Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a correctional setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working in corrections, psychiatric, or related nursing environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine patients in a correctional environment, evaluate their response to treatment, and monitor their progress.
  • Provide mental health and emotional support for inmates and refer them to appropriate mental health resources when necessary.
  • Assist the Physician/RN with exams and treatments.
  • Participate in sick call with a Physician to see inmates.
  • Prepare inmates for examination and prepare the exam room and equipment.
  • Dispense medications and maintain required documentation.
  • Control medications and syringes in inventory as required.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of LPN experience
  • IL LPN License in good standing
  • Active BLS
  • Clean background check upon hire
