Position Overview:
We are seeking a Machine Shop Scheduler responsible for orchestrating and managing the workflow within and between departments of our machine shop to enhance production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the machine shop production schedule to fulfill delivery requirements while optimizing production flow.
- Analyze production capacities to determine appropriate timelines.
- Collaborate with various departments regarding order status, shipping timelines, product availability, and back orders.
- Oversee order activities, including the receipt, verification, and processing of changes within the ERP system.
- Direct and manage the processing of work orders, addressing inquiries about order status and resolving any customer order issues.
- Establish stocking and replenishment levels for minimum and maximum inventory items.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team to schedule downtime effectively.
- Work with Engineering to plan R&D projects.
- Identify material availability issues that may affect scheduling.
- Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets for tracking purposes.
- Address unforeseen challenges in the production process that may necessitate reallocating resources.

- Adhere to and promote 5S practices and safety protocols, reporting any violations, and supporting company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Preferred:
- Associate degree is preferred.
- 5 years of experience with ERP systems and BOMs.
- APICS Certification is advantageous.
- 3-5 years of experience with CNC Mills, Lathes, and Routers.
Minimum:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
