Position Overview:

We are seeking a Machine Shop Scheduler responsible for orchestrating and managing the workflow within and between departments of our machine shop to enhance production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the machine shop production schedule to fulfill delivery requirements while optimizing production flow.
  • Analyze production capacities to determine appropriate timelines.
  • Collaborate with various departments regarding order status, shipping timelines, product availability, and back orders.
  • Oversee order activities, including the receipt, verification, and processing of changes within the ERP system.
  • Direct and manage the processing of work orders, addressing inquiries about order status and resolving any customer order issues.
  • Establish stocking and replenishment levels for minimum and maximum inventory items.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance team to schedule downtime effectively.
  • Work with Engineering to plan R&D projects.
  • Identify material availability issues that may affect scheduling.
  • Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets for tracking purposes.
  • Address unforeseen challenges in the production process that may necessitate reallocating resources.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

  • Associate degree is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience with ERP systems and BOMs.
  • APICS Certification is advantageous.
  • 3-5 years of experience with CNC Mills, Lathes, and Routers.

Minimum:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
