Job Overview
Nationwide IT Services is seeking a highly skilled Budget Analyst, Sr. to join our team in supporting the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ). As a key member of our team, you will provide fiscal guidance and oversight to 17 Program Executives, managing 27 Science and Technology programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and expertise in the Air Force or DoD Acquisition and PPBE process.

About the Role
This senior-level position provides critical support to the AQR Budget Analyst civilian position and involves analyzing and developing recommendations and reports on the financial and budgeting aspects of the programs. You will track program cost and funding data through the PPBE cycles, review and interpret programmatic data, and prepare cost-related inputs for required reports. Additionally, you will perform analyses of program funding for all PPBE phases and other budget exercises, tracking and assessing resource allocation options and identifying possible impacts of proposed funding positions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing recommendations on budgeting and financial process improvement
  • Reviewing budget documentation material
  • Supporting LCC and other program cost-estimating efforts

Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a master's degree in business, finance, or a related discipline and at least 10 years of relevant budget experience in a System Program Office and/or Air Force Headquarters. Additionally, they should have a strong understanding and expertise in the Air Force or DoD Acquisition and PPBE process. Work experience substitutions may be considered, but these must be approved by the COR. Our ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills, the ability to communicate complex information effectively, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
