Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Linen Technician to join our team at Children's National Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient distribution and retrieval of patient linen and materials to nursing units, while maintaining accurate inventory records and adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Linen Distribution: Distribute and retrieve patient linen and materials to nursing units according to prescribed procedures and universal precautions.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain PAR levels of inventory linen on patient units and complete computerized inventory records of linen and materials.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure work is accomplished in a technically correct manner consistent with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Work Station Maintenance: Maintain work station in clean and orderly fashion, break down boxes, dispose of trash, and use supplies according to established procedures.
  • Organizational Accountabilities: Anticipate and respond to customer needs, demonstrate collaborative and respectful behavior, and contribute to a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Experience: 1 year Related experience (Required)
  • Skills: Basic calculations, ability to enter inventory information into computer system
