About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager to join our team at Walmart Global Tech. As a key member of our Marketplace Engineering team, you will play a critical role in managing large software development programs, ensuring successful completion, and driving technical projects to success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage large software development programs, working closely with architects, engineering, product, design, and business leaders to ensure successful completion.
  • Define goals, stage gates, critical delivery paths, and key deliverables for large-scale programs that incorporate multiple programs with dependencies across multiple areas of work, timelines, and resource constraints.
  • Establish a resource capacity allocation process and tool to transform the planning process.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Walmart, ensuring alignment on roles, responsibilities, and program cadences.
  • Drive efficient engineering resource utilization and delivery, simplifying and clarifying priorities, and creating plans with appropriate milestones for advance planning and executive buy-in.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area, and 5 years' experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
  • Experience in system/platform design concepts, architecture, UX design, services, APIs, and technologies.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a love for data and solving complex problems.
  • Expertise in change & risk management methodologies, project management tools, techniques, project tracking tools, dashboards, and reports.
  • Strong communicator in both verbal and written forms, with the ability to communicate upwards, outwards, and downward.
