Position Summary

The Indirect Funding Specialist I plays a crucial role in enhancing member satisfaction by delivering exceptional service. This position involves ensuring efficient loan processing and funding disbursements, as well as opening new membership accounts and maintaining compliance. Responsibilities include reviewing indirect loan applications, finalizing loan closings, and processing refinanced loans through our indirect portal.


Key Responsibilities

Contract Processing and Funding (50%)
Prepare all necessary documentation for closing indirect loans, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing and funding. Calculate and adjust dealer buy downs, reserves, and acquisition fees while coordinating loan closings with dealers. Maintain effective communication with team members and adhere to established policies and regulations.


Problem Resolution (30%)
Address member inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring that all requests are handled professionally. Maintain the confidentiality of member information and uphold the Credit Union's reputation for quality service.


Loan Production and Cross-Selling (15%)
Identify member needs and provide appropriate referrals or sales that align with Credit Union services and products. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of available accounts, promotions, and loan products to effectively support members.


Additional Duties (5%)
Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support the overall objectives of the team.


Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D.

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in indirect funding, preferably within a credit union or financial institution.
