Key Responsibilities
  • Apply Industrial Engineering concepts, techniques, analysis, and decision tools to promote and implement changes in manufacturing operations to achieve site goals.
  • Improve quality, reduce costs, and improve the flow of products through automation and process improvements.
  • Support manufacturing processes, including equipment, floor layouts, work sequence, work instructions, procedures, and workflow.
  • Conduct studies on cost control, productivity, cost reduction, inventory, and production record systems.
  • Review products/processes for quality, safety, and producibility risks and work with design to incorporate changes to eliminate the risks.
  • Manage moderately sized projects or processes.
  • Independently resolve problems that are difficult and often complex.
  • Develop tactical plans to manage day-to-day challenges.
What You Will Learn
  • How to be an industrial engineer supporting various high-frequency communication radios & circuit board manufacturing processes.
  • Engineering tools used in the build & test of HF and Tacair radios.
  • Standard work tools and processes.
  • Leadership skills.
Requirements
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Working towards a BS in Industrial Engineering.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong background in Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience with CAD software.
