Job Description

Collins Aerospace, a leading company in the aerospace and defense industry, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer Co-op to join their team. As a Co-op, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including manufacturing processes, equipment, and product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support manufacturing processes, including equipment, floor layouts, work sequence, work instructions, procedures, and workflow.
  • Conduct studies on cost control, productivity, cost reduction, inventory, and production record systems.
  • Review products and processes for quality, safety, and producibility risks and work with design to incorporate changes to eliminate the risks.
  • Manage moderately sized projects or processes.
  • Independently resolve problems that are difficult and often complex.
  • Develop tactical plans to manage day-to-day challenges.

Requirements:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working towards a BS in Industrial Engineering.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong background in Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience with CAD software.
  • Track record of driving continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $37,000 - $82,000.
