Industrial Engineer Co-op

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer Co-op to join our team in Cedar Rapids, IA. As an Industrial Engineer Co-op, you will have the opportunity to apply industrial engineering concepts and analysis tools to drive transformative changes in manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Support manufacturing processes, including equipment, floor layouts, work sequence, work instructions, procedures, and workflow.
- Conduct studies on cost control, productivity, cost reduction, inventory, and production record systems.
- Review products/processes for quality, safety, and producibility risks and work with design to incorporate changes to eliminate the risks.
- Manage moderately sized projects or processes.
- Independently resolve problems that are difficult and often complex.
- Develop tactical plans to manage day-to-day challenges.
- Some travel to local Iowa regional sites.
- Master the ability to assess current processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement enhancements to boost productivity and efficiency.
- Gain proficiency in methodologies for continuous improvement, focusing on waste reduction, efficiency enhancement, and driving overall process improvements.
- Develop strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders across all organizational levels.
- Acquire the ability to adapt to changing environments and integrate industry trends and innovations to maintain competitiveness.
- Learn to lead teams, delegate responsibilities, and inspire team members to achieve collective objectives.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
