Pharma Services Group

The Pharma Services Group at Thermo Fisher Scientific provides industry-leading pharma services for drug development, clinical trial logistics, and commercial manufacturing through its Patheon brand. The group partners with customers in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and life sciences industries as their trusted CDMO to deliver medicine to patients faster.

Senior Finance Manager Role

The Senior Finance Manager will lead a finance team of 2 members and be the business partner for the group leadership team. This role will focus on leading MBR/QBR/AOP process for Pharma Services Group, and provide valuable decision support, identify, and implement operational improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead group AOP / QBR / MBR, works as a liaison between group and division / business finance teams, in a matrixed organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing financial guidance and support to drive business performance and decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyze financials, including leading monthly and quarterly reporting (revenue, gross margin, OPEX, KPI's, CAPEX).
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
  • Analyze financial and business performance against key business metrics and identify pertinent financial highlights, enabling understanding of progress against strategic business plans.
  • Develops high quality effective presentations (i.e. engaging, motivating, concise, well-prep).
  • Identify, communicate, and lead risk & opportunities.
  • Build and develop an impactful team.
Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is required.
  • Minimum of 5-7+ years of business and Finance experience.
  • Experience in leading and running a distributed team.
  • Prior experience in a large global company and highly matrixed organization.
  • Proficient at understanding and proactively presenting the financial implications of business decisions and dynamics.
