Overview
In this hybrid position, the Senior Compliance Auditor at Verus LLC is essential in maintaining the precision and reliability of our compliance auditing processes. This involves scrutinizing and assessing audits, offering constructive feedback to Auditors, and ensuring adherence to established protocols and professional standards. The role also encompasses contributing to the enhancement and evolution of compliance audit programs and generating detailed reports and recommendations for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine and assess audits to confirm accuracy, thoroughness, eligibility, and compliance with established procedures.
- Perform secondary evaluations of Auditors' work and provide necessary feedback to management.
- Responsible for meeting deadlines while complying with departmental and professional standards.
- Delegate tasks to Auditors effectively.
- Support the creation of audit programs.
- Assist in the ongoing refinement of processes and policy updates.
- Analyze audit findings and formulate recommendations.
- Draft recommendations and comprehensive analyses in reports for clients.
- Conduct follow-up and targeted audits to verify the implementation of recommendations.
- Prepare memorandums, letters, and other written communications for clients and third parties.
- Contribute to Auditor training initiatives.
- Engage with management to review findings and audit results.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of auditing experience with a solid understanding of auditing practices and procedures.
- Proven experience in generating and interpreting audit reports.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Proactive mindset and innovative approach to challenges.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to adapt to evolving policies, procedures, and systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Standard business office environment. Involves extended periods of work at a computer screen. This role includes both in-office and remote work opportunities.
