POSITION SUMMARY
Universal Industries is seeking a skilled procurement professional with a strong commercial acumen, who is eager to strategize, lead, and achieve objectives within the Purchasing Division. This role will require daily collaboration with various internal teams and external partners. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary functions encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Formulating and executing procurement strategies.
  • Overseeing daily purchasing operations.
  • Managing supplier relationships and negotiating terms, pricing, and timelines.
  • Maintaining the supplier database, procurement records, and associated documentation.
  • Collaborating with inventory management to assess and fulfill inventory requirements.
  • Ensuring all procured items adhere to established quality standards and specifications.
  • Enhancing procurement systems and processes.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems.
  • Exhibiting teamwork and a willingness to undertake diverse responsibilities.
  • Issuing cycle count documentation for monthly inventory assessments.
  • Providing up-to-date information during production meetings regarding order statuses.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Background in business administration or a related discipline.
  • Experience as a purchasing agent or in a comparable role.
  • In-depth knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation capabilities.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
