Radiology Department Administrator

The Radiology Department Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Montefiore Medical Center’s Radiology Department. Under the direction of the Unified Department Administrator and in partnership with the Medical Director, they are responsible for management, business development, and financial management of all services provided at the department. The Administrator will participate in central Radiology councils to provide decision making and technical expertise for the development of supplies, service contracts, and capital purchases.
Responsibilities include managing the hiring, training, quality oversight, safety, and overall technical performance of staff and serving on the department’s and organizational committees. The Administrator will communicate with physicians, physicists, nurses, radiology, administrators, nurse practitioners, patient advocacy representatives, and various members of other clinical and administrative departments.
Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Health Science, a Master’s degree in Radiologic Health Science preferred, NYS License in Radiologic Technology, and five years of experience as a supervisor of imaging services. Proficiency in computer skills is also required.
