Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Case Aid. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Oregon's most vulnerable children and families.

As a Case Aid, you will be responsible for engaging with community partners, caseworkers, children, and families to support relationship-building and provide assistance with various cases. You will also contribute to and support the development of assessments and case planning efforts, as well as assist parents in identifying and articulating their children's needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage with community partners, caseworkers, children, and families to support relationship-building and provide assistance with various cases.
  • Contribute to and support the development of assessments and case planning efforts.
  • Assist parents in identifying and articulating their children's needs.
  • Support caseworkers by handling case-related activities such as paperwork, information gathering, referrals, and communication with community partners.
Requirements:
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (the job offer will be contingent upon passing test(s) evaluating your proficiency in the bilingual requirements of the position).
  • One year of experience assisting professionals in one or more specialized social programs such as family services, children services, senior services, mental or developmental disability services, substance abuse programs, juvenile corrections programs, or occupational skills programs.
  • Possession of a current certification in child development, early childhood education, addiction counseling preparation or juvenile corrections, or 45 quarter hours, or 30 semester hours of college coursework in sociology, psychology, early childhood education, criminal justice, human services, juvenile corrections, or occupational skills training.
  • An associate degree in a field not closely related to social work/human services and six months of human services-related experience.

  • Experience writing in a clear, culturally competent, and compassionate manner, with minimal spelling or grammar issues.
  • Experience taking proactive steps to identify and pursue goals and opportunities without waiting for direction.
  • Experience communicating verbally over the phone while speaking with assurance and conviction while conveying professionalism and credibility.
  • Experience shifting focus in dynamic environments with changing priorities.
