Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Planning, conceptualizing, and creating HVAC mechanical designs for new and retrofit buildings/projects in the mission critical environment
  • Designing ducts and piping systems
  • Developing central plant cooling designs
  • Performing typical HVAC engineering calculations to support design work
  • Creating technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and working with vendors and contractors
  • Ensuring project timelines are met and project stays within budget
  • Able to travel to project sites

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • EIT/PE a plus
  • 5+ years of experience working for a design engineering firm, Mission Critical design experience a plus
  • Firm grasp of engineering concepts including theoretical and practical applications for HVAC Systems
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
  • Must be self-motivated and know project design steps/requirements
