Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Credit Risk Modeler to engage in client-focused projects in the realm of quantitative model development. This role encompasses the complete lifecycle of model creation, including initial development, re-calibration, and thorough assessments to ensure models are fit for purpose within the risk and regulatory landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead hands-on efforts in the development and re-calibration of risk and regulatory models, such as Credit Decision Scorecards, Basel IRB models (PD, LGD, EAD), Stress Testing, and IFRS 9/CECL models.
  • Conduct data analysis and quantitative assessments to inform modeling strategies.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports to senior client management.
  • Develop methodologies, algorithms, and diagnostic tools to evaluate model robustness and stability.
  • Document and communicate model techniques and variable interpretations to client stakeholders.
  • Ensure the quality of source and forecast data, alongside effective change management practices.
  • Create detailed technical documentation for dissemination to senior management, model developers, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Integrate industry best practices and consultative insights to enhance client engagements in advanced risk analytics.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking and financial services analytics, with at least 3 years focused on credit risk modeling.
  • Strong proficiency in statistical techniques and hands-on experience with statistical modeling (e.g., Logistic Regression, Time Series Analysis, Survival Techniques).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Finance, or Mathematics.
  • Proactive and ambitious mindset with the ability to work independently and manage ambiguity.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as SAS, SQL, and Python.
  • Experience with Machine Learning techniques and visualization tools like Tableau or MATLAB is advantageous.
  • Strong consultative skills and experience in client interactions.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
  • Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
