Position Overview:
As a Facility Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our educational environment. Your responsibilities will encompass sanitation, security, and basic upkeep of the assigned areas within the school premises.

Work Schedule:
The standard working hours for this position will typically be from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Please be aware that adjustments to the schedule may be necessary to accommodate school events or other operational requirements.

Compensation and Benefits:
This is a full-time position with an hourly wage starting at $22.93, commensurate with experience. Our benefits package includes employer-sponsored medical, dental, short-term and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and paid time off. Additional optional benefits, such as vision and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, are available at the employee's expense. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily cleaning tasks, including waste removal, recycling management, and sanitization of all facilities, such as classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
  • Assist staff, students, and community members using the building during your shifts.
  • Set up and dismantle audio-visual equipment, assist with furniture arrangements, and provide user training as needed.
  • Respond to inquiries and direct individuals to the appropriate locations within the building.
  • Support building operations for events, including setup, cleanup, and securing areas.
  • Perform safety inspections and address any hazards or maintenance needs.
  • Execute minor repairs and maintenance tasks on the property, including painting, plumbing, and landscaping.
  • Maintain communication with the Custodian and Facility Lead regarding departmental needs and issues.
  • Deliver supplies and materials across campus as required.
  • Fulfill other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • No prior experience is necessary; however, experience in cleaning, chemical handling, and customer service is advantageous.
  • A criminal background check is mandatory for employment.
  • Safety and pesticide training must be completed within six months of hire.

  • Basic problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate various cleaning equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability to changing tasks.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to customer service.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and practices in the workplace.
