As a Facility Custodian at Stargate School, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the sanitation and upkeep of all school facilities, including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Perform daily cleaning tasks such as trash removal, recycling management, and thorough sanitization of all assigned areas.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, including moving furniture and audio-visual equipment as needed.
- Respond to inquiries and direct individuals to appropriate locations within the school.
- Conduct safety checks and report any hazards or maintenance needs to the Facility Manager.
- Engage in minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including painting, plumbing, and lighting adjustments.
- Maintain communication with the Custodian and Facility Lead regarding supplies and operational needs.
- Participate in seasonal cleaning and maintenance projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- No prior experience required; however, familiarity with cleaning procedures and customer service is advantageous.
- Background check is mandatory for employment.
- Completion of safety and pesticide training within six months of hire is required.
