About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Akumin. As a leading provider of radiology and oncology services, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of diagnostic imaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure patient safety and perform high-quality MR studies on site and/or remotely.
  • Communicate effectively with radiologists, team members, patients, and customers in the mobile environment.
  • Train and orient new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants as required.
  • Operate multiple MR systems and produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills to address concerns and conflicts.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.
  • State license, if applicable.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Valid state driver's license, as applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
  • 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Experience.
Physical Requirements

The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions during patient transport and a strong magnetic field. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease when interacting with patients.
