About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Akumin. As a key member of our radiology team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of patient safety and producing high-quality diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic injection technique
  • Operate multiple MR systems and produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Effectively communicate with customers, radiologists, and team members
  • Train and orient new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
  • State license, if applicable
  • CPR Certification
  • Valid state driver's license, as applicable
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT
  • 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Experience
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform repetitive movements
  • Ability to see, speak, and hear to communicate with patients and team members
