Digital Communications Specialist

As a Digital Communications Specialist at MITRE, you will be responsible for developing and prototyping state-of-the-art digital communications technologies. You will support the development, analysis, and testing of communications systems, generate and review system requirements, and work collaboratively with other engineers and technicians in a team environment. Additionally, you will analyze and resolve integrated communications hardware and software problems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or a related field. Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance. Interest in wireless communications, RF/analog hardware, antenna design, digital signal processing, or networking. Experience with software development and modern programming languages. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with software-defined radios (SDR) and digital signal processing. Experience with RF and communications equipment design, testing, and prototyping. Master's degree in a relevant field.
