We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at CAES Mission Systems in Lancaster, PA. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our building and equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Inspect buildings and structures to identify functional systems and detect malfunctions.
- Monitor contractor performance and work with outside vendors to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
- Act as the primary contact for building issues and respond to emergencies on a 24-hour basis.
- Perform minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work as needed.
- Reconfigure and install modular offices and space to accommodate user needs.
- Transport goods and equipment as assigned and escort service contractors to necessary locations.
- Perform immediate cleaning duties to maintain a clean facility and maintain sidewalks clear of snow and ice.
- High School diploma or GED.
- 2 years' relevant experience in facilities maintenance.
- Basic understanding of facilities maintenance and ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision and interact effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Exposure to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.
- Associate's Degree or Technical Certification in a relevant field.
- 4 years' relevant experience in facilities maintenance.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to provide deliverables in support of project plans.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and against strict time constraints.
