Financial Transaction Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Financial Transaction Specialist to join our clients team in Hartford, CT. As a Financial Transaction Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions, working within a dynamic environment that supports education and learning.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct coding.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
Manage vendor relationships and maintain accurate records.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Collaborate with other departments to verify and ensure proper financial documentation.
Ensure compliance with institutional policies and government regulations.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in accounts payable or similar roles.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
Experience in the education or non-profit sector is a plus.
