The Compensation Specialist is a proficient individual contributor responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and managing the global compensation strategies at Del Monte Fresh Produce Company NA Inc. This role acts as a consultant, collaborating with HR business partners, subject matter experts, and various business leaders to ensure effective implementation of all existing compensation frameworks.
This position will also oversee and support global executive compensation, special initiatives, and other critical projects, including the preparation of materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide continuous support on compensation-related matters and serve as the primary contact and subject matter expert.
- Ensure compliance of all compensation programs with local, national, and regional regulations.
- Guarantee consistent implementation of the global job architecture across all regions.
- Assist in preparing documentation for external reporting, including but not limited to: Form 4 filings with the Securities & Exchange Commission, quarterly financial disclosures, and the annual Proxy Statement.
- Collaborate with finance, investor relations, payroll, and internal audit to ensure accurate documentation and reconciliation of stock transaction reports.
- Support the review, design, forecasting, and ongoing management of both short-term and long-term incentive programs globally.
- Administer the annual pay planning process by gathering information, preparing detailed spreadsheets, and leading the collection process for global review and approval.
- Request, compile, and consolidate headcount reports globally to facilitate the executive review process.
- Maintain and update records in the stock administration software.
- Support the administration of global mobility and keep records of the expatriate workforce.
- Conduct compensation analyses to identify changes in headcount, compensation trends, and incentive forecasts.
- Explore innovative solutions and best practices that can be implemented with minimal cost to enhance employee experience.
- Participate in salary and labor market surveys to assess prevailing pay rates and benefits.
- In collaboration with the SVP - Chief HR Officer and the Director - Global Total Rewards, assist regional HR Business Partners with key regional and global HR initiatives and special projects.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field (Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines).
- 2 to 4 years of prior experience in administering compensation programs.
- Strong analytical skills, familiarity with broader concepts, and the ability to communicate effectively with business partners to resolve complex issues and recommend optimal solutions.
- Proficient analytical and quantitative skills with a proven track record in planning, executing, and auditing work.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player and influence cross-divisional teams.
- High proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
