Job Title: Testing Center Director

Job Summary:

The Testing Center Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of the Testing and Assessment Center department and programs. This role requires a strong understanding of higher education policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the Testing Center to ensure compliance with university policies and regulations.
  • Supervise and manage a team of testing center staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement new programs and initiatives aligned with the university's goals.
  • Manage payroll and finances for the department, including vendor contracts, outside contracts, and internal fee structures.
  • Ensure accurate and confidential handling of sensitive documents and information.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond promptly to inquiries and concerns.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Education, Management, or related field.
  • 4 years of experience working in higher education, academic support, testing services, or related area.
  • 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of admissions, student services, or testing services.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex written records and instructional materials.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National College Testing Association (NCTA) certification.

Work Environment:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Adaptability to performing under moderate levels of stress.
