Veterans' Home Institutional Custodial Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced individual to join our team as a VVH Institutional Custodial Supervisor. This leadership position will oversee the Custodial/Housekeeping/Laundry Department at the Vermont Veterans' Home, a skilled nursing facility.
As a working supervisor, you will be responsible for the direct supervision of up to nineteen employees, including two Senior custodial workers and seventeen custodial and laundry workers. Your duties will include working in laundry and custodial, planning, supervisory and evaluation of work and personnel, inventory, addressing employee concerns, and submitting a daily report to the Director.
You will also be required to reassign staff during an assigned shift, and your ability to work cooperatively is essential.
The hours for this position are 6am to 2:30pm, and you will be required to work weekends and holidays. There may be times when you need to work alternative shifts due to the operating needs of the facility.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need four (4) years or more of building custodial work, including floor care, and one (1) or more years of experience managing, supervising, or leading a team.
Alternatively, you may have two (2) or more years of experience as a VVH Senior Institutional Custodian.
