Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Center Operations Manager to join our team at Self-Help for the Elderly. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our senior center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs and services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Management: Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services to meet the needs of our clients, including coordinating activities, classes, and special events.
  • Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and supervise center staff and volunteers to ensure efficient operation of the center.
  • Site Maintenance: Ensure the site is clean, attractive, and safe for participants, and maintain all furniture and equipment in good working condition.
  • Financial Management: Maintain all food, supplies, and equipment inventory, and prepare monthly inventory reports.
  • Community Outreach: Conduct community outreach to target populations to ensure that targeted communities have access to the center.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Compile monthly reports and conduct service surveys as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: College degree preferred or high school graduate with at least three years of work experience in community services.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the internet.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and pass a strength test for physical fitness.
  • Certifications: Must acquire CPR and First Aid certificates within 3 months of employment and maintain current certificates thereafter.
