Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our resort's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of tools and equipment
  • Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including visual inspections and identification of potential issues
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
  • Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb and A/C filter replacement
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
  • Display working knowledge of all engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems
  • Perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems
  • Display ability to train and mentor other engineers (e.g., Engineer I)
  • Display ability to perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds
Requirements
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
  • Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements
