Job Description

Tower Semiconductor is seeking a highly skilled Equipment Engineer to join our team. As an Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing the reliability and throughput of our photo equipment, including the Canon i4/i5 iline, ES4/ES5/EX6 DUV, and ASML 200 iline and 300/700/750 DUV toolsets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on assigned equipment
  • Optimize preventive maintenance procedures and provide clear instructions and documentation to fellow technicians
  • Work with equipment vendors or second source companies to improve equipment performance
  • Identify opportunities for reducing maintenance and operating costs and provide cost studies for preventive maintenance activities
  • Lead the process of evaluating new equipment or software and make recommendations to meet Tower Semiconductor business objectives
  • Work with the Process Engineering group to identify opportunities to improve yield and maintain equipment process parameters within specifications
  • Identify and implement sustaining capital upgrades that can increase tool performance, with associated ROI justification
  • Work with IE, Production, and Process groups on identifying opportunities to improve cycle time
  • Provide a monthly report summarizing all maintenance and project activities
Requirements
  • Minimum five years of experience supporting and maintaining semiconductor equipment with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following photo toolsets: Canon 3000 i4/i5 iline and ES4/54 and EX6 DUV - ASML 200 iline and 300/700/750 DUV
  • In-depth knowledge of equipment functionality, subcomponents, optics, Robotics/Sensors, vacuum systems, and a strong showing of Engineering/Technical experience
  • Candidate must have the ability to conduct data and statistical analysis to evaluate equipment performance
  • A self-starter with leadership and computer skills is required
Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Lean/Six Sigma training

Equipment Engineer: I - Sr Staff

Pay range $70,000 - $165,000
