We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer II to join our team at The Resort at Pelican Hill. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing exceptional service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Identify and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and shut-offs for buildings.
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
- Display proficiency in one or more of the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management.
- Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and the complete and thorough cleanup of the painting or repair area.
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
- Perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Display the ability to train and mentor other engineers.
- Display ability to perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background.
- At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification.
- Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements.
