Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, you will provide direct patient care in a specialized unit, adhering to the relevant scope and standards of practice, as well as the organization's policies, values, and mission.
- Effectively delegate patient care tasks to ancillary staff.
- Mentor student nurses and new employees as needed.
- Plan, implement, and assess patient care based on thorough patient evaluations to enhance outcomes and optimize resource utilization.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions appropriately.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate comprehensive patient care, addressing disposition, referrals, and psychosocial support needs.

Qualifications:
- Nursing degree from an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program.
- One (1) year of nursing experience is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is mandatory for ICU, ED, PACU, Endo, Tele, OB, and Specialty Procedural areas. Pediatric areas require PALS certification, except for NICU.
- Certification in Fetal Monitoring is necessary for Labor & Delivery RNs.
- Newly licensed RNs have a specified timeframe to obtain required certifications.
Work Environment:
- This role demands critical thinking, effective communication, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently.
