Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Spaulding Hospital North Shore. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment services to pediatric patients with a range of communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' communication skills and develop individually tailored treatment plans to address language, cognitive-communicative, articulation, pragmatic/social language, fluency, voice, and swallowing/feeding disorders.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with facility and professional guidelines.
  • Prepare accurate billing and ensure timely submission of claims.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement and implement best practices to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Communication Disorders from an ASHA-accredited university program.
  • Licensed (and in good standing) in Speech Language Pathology by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic skills in math and computer science.
  • Knowledge of speech language evaluation and treatment techniques to manage the rehabilitation population.
  • Problem-solving skills for speech language evaluation, interpretation, treatment planning, and execution.
  • Ability to assess and interact with patients and families using theories of human growth and development, family systems, and cultural background.
  • Computer proficiency, with Microsoft Office applications preferred.

  • Ability to work independently, be self-directed, and contribute as a member of a team.
  • Initiative to anticipate challenges and develop strategies for addressing them.
  • High level of service delivery, with attention to detail.
