Evolent Health is seeking a talented Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of software/data engineers in designing, building, integrating and maintaining data pipelines to support healthcare data integration and operations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in software engineering with a focus on healthcare data, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The estimated salary for this position is $125,000 - 145,000 per year. In addition to a competitive base salary, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance benefits, to qualifying employees.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Leading, mentoring, and growing engineering resources
  • Identifying and recruiting top talent to expand the team
  • Conducting regular performance reviews and creating development plans for team members
  • Overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives

Requirements for the role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in software engineering with a focus on healthcare data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and .NET full stack development
  • Experience with data engineering tools and platforms like Apache Spark, Hadoop, and cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP)

The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who can build and manage a high-performing team, as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. They will also have a deep understanding of software engineering principles and practices, as well as experience working with healthcare data.
