Certified First Assistant CVOR Specialist

As a CVOR First Assistant, you will be responsible for providing technical and knowledge-based skills to assist surgeons in carrying out safe operations with optimal results. You will work independently or collaboratively with surgeons to finalize surgeries according to their plan of care. Your duties will include preparing and maintaining the surgical area, scrubbing duties, and delivering first assistant intraoperative technical functions to the physician during procedures. You will also assist the RN in technical functions related to patient care and assist in the training of others. The CVOR First Assistant has the knowledge and experience to perform endoscopic or open-procedure intraoperative harvesting of the saphenous vein and performs endovascular & open revascularization of the peripheral & central vascular systems. Key responsibilities include confirming procedures, determining equipment needs, reviewing case loads and studies, and participating in Universal Protocol steps. You will also assist in moving and positioning patients, perform operative shave prep, scrub, or other patient care tasks as assigned by the RN.
