Certified Surgical Technician CVOR Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled CVOR First Assistant to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa. As a CVOR First Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing technical support to surgeons during complex cardiovascular procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons in performing endoscopic and open-procedure intraoperative harvesting of the saphenous vein.
- Participate in the training of others and function as a resource within the department.
- Review case load and studies to prepare for pending surgical procedures.
- Confirm procedures and determine specific equipment needed per surgical procedure.
- High School education or equivalent.
- Completion of Certified Surgical Assisting Program or certification by the National Board of Surgical Technician and Surgical Assistant (NBSTA), American Board of Surgical Assistant (ABSA), or National Commission for the Certification of Surgical Assistant (NCCSA).
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Endoscopic Saphenous Vein Harvesting sanctioned by American College of Surgeon's (to obtain within 2 years of hire).
