Claims Specialist

Constellis is seeking a highly skilled Claims Specialist to join our team. As a Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for administering claims and loss control activities, maintaining relationships with third-party service providers, and recommending solutions to implement approved programs.
Key Responsibilities- Report Defense Base Act claims to the Department of Labor and insurance carriers, providing support and assistance to injured personnel.
- Monitor claims, retain records, and compile claim data into a database to create quarterly reports.
- Provide personnel files, wage records, and other employment documentation to adjusters and defense counsel.
- Support DBA discovery by providing supporting documentation as required by defense counsel.
- Report Personal Accident claims to insurance carriers, providing support and assistance to injured personnel.
- Conduct research for claim submission/coverage and mitigate/resolve litigation issues for claim-related matters.
- Assist in facilitating medical evacuations by coordinating and liaising with program managers and assistance partners/providers.
- Liaise with brokers and insurance carriers.
- Assist the department in administrative duties.
- Conduct research and complete special projects as directed.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred (completion within 6 months).
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience.
- Related experience in claims management preferred.
- Experience in the medical field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Deltek experience preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion.
- Problem-solving skills with an analytical thought process.
