Job Summary

Constellis is seeking a highly skilled Claims Specialist to join our team. As a Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for administering claims and loss control activities, maintaining relationships with third-party service providers, and recommending solutions to implement approved programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report Defense Base Act claims to the Department of Labor and insurance carriers, providing support and assistance to injured personnel.
  • Monitor claims, retain records, and compile claim data into a database to create quarterly reports.
  • Provide personnel files, wage records, and other employment documentation to adjusters and defense counsel.
  • Support DBA discovery by providing supporting documentation as required by defense counsel.
  • Report Personal Accident claims to insurance carriers, providing support and assistance to injured personnel.
  • Conduct research for claim submission/coverage and mitigate/resolve litigation issues for claim-related matters.
  • Assist in facilitating medical evacuations by coordinating and liaising with program managers and assistance partners/providers.
  • Liaise with brokers and insurance carriers.
  • Assist the department in administrative duties.
  • Conduct research and complete special projects as directed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred (completion within 6 months).
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience.
  • Related experience in claims management preferred.
  • Experience in the medical field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Deltek experience preferred.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion.
  • Problem-solving skills with an analytical thought process.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
