Job Summary

The University of South Alabama's Athletics department is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as an Assistant Director – Fan Engagement. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to increase attendance, ticket sales, and public awareness of assigned South Alabama athletics teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Marketing and Promotion: Assist the Assistant Athletic Director, Fan Engagement with the development and implementation of marketing plans to promote the University of South Alabama athletics programs.
  • Attendance and Ticket Sales: Increase attendance and ticket sales for assigned South Alabama athletics teams through the creation and implementation of effective marketing strategies.
  • Social Media Management: Oversee the management of athletics social media accounts and ensure adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Fan Experience: Improve the fan experience and in-game atmosphere at assigned sports through the creation and implementation of innovative ideas and strategies.
  • Team Management: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise student assistants to support the success of the athletics department.
  • Special Events: Assist with the planning and execution of special events, including games and tournaments.
  • Liaison: Serve as a liaison with campus and student groups to promote the University of South Alabama athletics programs.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to NCAA, Sun Belt Conference, and University rules and regulations.
  • Availability: Attend various events, including games and tournaments, which may require working nights and weekends.
