Financial Analyst Job Description

Virtua Health is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in preparing monthly and annual financial statements, supporting analysis and supplemental schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing Generally Accepted Accounting Principles on all financial statements.
  • Support the Senior Financial Analysts and Finance Management Team in preparing for special projects.
  • Act as a Finance representative on committees and at meetings as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Zero to three years in general accounting experience to include financial statement preparation.
  • Must possess knowledge and understanding of accounting practice and theory, specifically Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Ability to work independently to achieve goals and prioritize work assignments.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Windows, Word, and Excel.

Education:

  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field and CPA / MBA preferred.
