Financial Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Virtua Health. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing monthly and annual financial statements, supporting analysis and supplemental schedules.

• Assist in preparing the Hospital and related entity of Virtua Health Financial Statements with GAAP compliance, including Service Group Analysis and Cash Flow Analysis.
• Prepare and assist in the analysis of financial data, including Operating budget detail, statistics, revenue by payer, expense, cash analysis, balance sheets.
• Assist in preparing and analyzing financial data for Regulatory Agencies, including Federal and State.
• Ensure audit compliance through preparation of work papers and analysis for internal and external auditors.
• Provide financial analysis assistance to Managers to monitor operating expenses, budgeting, balance sheet, capital expenditures, and cost/benefit analysis.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Zero to three years of general accounting experience, including financial statement preparation.
• Knowledge and understanding of accounting practice and theory, specifically Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Ability to work independently to achieve goals and prioritize work assignments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• A working knowledge of Windows, Word, and Excel.

A BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, and a CPA or MBA are preferred.
