What does the Facilities Maintenance Technician role entail?

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician at Willamette View, you will collaborate with a dedicated team in the Maintenance department to ensure that our facilities are well-maintained and in excellent condition. This position thrives in a team-oriented environment where mutual learning is encouraged, making it essential for candidates to align with our collaborative culture.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting routine maintenance and repairs related to plumbing, basic electrical work, appliances, painting, and other necessary repairs.
  • Executing scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, diagnosing issues with heating and cooling systems, appliances, and plumbing systems. Performing regular building inspections to identify potential safety risks and required repairs. Completing work orders as assigned and effectively communicating the status of ongoing work orders with supervisors, residents, and colleagues.
  • Carrying out additional tasks as assigned.

What qualifications are required?

  • A foundational understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry is beneficial; however, we welcome both experienced individuals and those eager to learn through on-the-job training. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge and adherence to all standard OSHA and State safety regulations and policies.
  • The ability to organize and prioritize work orders and responsibilities while integrating unscheduled tasks into daily routines is essential.
  • Consent to and successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
