Position Summary:

Oversee all operational functions of the Front Desk to ensure the highest levels of customer service while achieving financial objectives. Communicate effectively with staff to provide clear guidance and support. Monitor performance and promote continuous improvement. Responsible for the recruitment, training, supervision, evaluation, and disciplinary actions of front desk personnel to uphold quality standards. Engage positively with guests to address and resolve any concerns promptly. Lead the customer service initiatives within the Front Desk and participate in quality improvement discussions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for guest issues, ensuring satisfactory resolutions.
  • Manage room inventory to optimize revenue and prevent overbooking.
  • Verify that all guest arrivals are accurately prepared, including room types and special requests.
  • Support and guide Front Desk Agents in their daily responsibilities.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance in all interactions.
  • Coordinate departmental meetings and training sessions as needed.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by management.
  • Schedule Front Desk staff and oversee payroll processes.
  • Review daily arrivals and ensure VIP and special requests are pre-registered.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols for both guests and staff.
  • Conduct tours of guest accommodations and common areas.
  • Assist with billing inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Support the Front Office Manager in managing room assignments and inventory.
  • Participate in training programs and assist in onboarding new staff.
  • Foster collaboration with other departments to enhance service delivery.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Encourage a culture of sustainability and environmental responsibility.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
  • Empower team members to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Focus on guest satisfaction in all team discussions.
  • Solicit feedback from team members to improve workplace satisfaction.
  • Assume responsibilities of the Front Office Manager in their absence.
  • Oversee the Concierge Team, including scheduling and performance evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present information clearly to guests and team members.
  • Multilingual communication skills are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in hospitality or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a hospitality setting.
