About the Position

Southern Illinois University is seeking a highly qualified Counseling Psychologist to join our team at Student Health Services. As a Counseling Psychologist, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive mental health services to our diverse student population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, couples, and crisis counseling to students
  • Develop and implement community intervention and social justice activities
  • Supervise practicum students and interns
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
Requirements
  • Earned doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA or CPA accredited program
  • Successful completion of APA or CPA accredited doctoral internship in professional psychology
  • Eligibility for registration as a licensed psychologist in the State of Illinois
Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensed as a psychologist in the State of Illinois or licensed psychologist in another state and eligible to become licensed in Illinois within six months of employment
  • University or community health experience
